We have just added a button on the sidebar here to donate to QRC. If you are interested in this project please consider donating whatever you can so that we can continue to make QRC happen. There are many costs involved in this project and we are working right now with very limited resources. By donating you can help to support the infrastructure of our operation including renting a space for the Bay Area Symposium in November as well as help crosspollinators with limited funds get to the gatherings where we are doing our work this summer. There is a lot of excitement around QRC right now and people are already putting together projects but we need some seed funds to get this glorious show on the road. Thanks for your support!

Call to the Quest of the Radical Crosspollinators
A Pioneering Journey That Activates and Supports New Ways to Weave and Tie Together Our Communal Experience as Individual Spirits

Radical Faerie communities are blossoming. If we crosspollinate them, what fruits can we produce, fruits that will nourish us? And what seeds can we take from those fruits to plant in other places? These questions are at the heart of the Quest of the Radical Crosspollinators, a group of radical queers of all genders, colors, and ages who will dream the future at a number of gatherings in North America in 2008. Will you join us in dreaming about future generations of faerie culture?

It is our experience that forming intention opens paths of empowerment. How can we join our creative forces for our mutual benefit? How can we share our skills and talents in ways that will make our gathering experiences even better, that will improve our lives beyond our gatherings, and that will help to heal our planet?

There are many benefits to be gained from discussing the gathering experience. Yet how do we create a common voice without speaking for each other? Collectively we will generate a method of discussion without making assumptions about the thoughts and views of the other members of our greater community.

The following is a short list of questions posed for this Quest; others will emerge in our crosspollinator discussions.
What is powerful for you in the gathering experience?
How can we enhance our web of connection in and out of our gathering spaces?
How have we invigorated (or imagined invigorating) local faerie culture?
How can we engage in powerful work while remaining playful and lighthearted?
How can we create a forum for all radical faeries to contribute to this discussion?
How can we best use that forum to explore our common interests?
How can we create space for extraordinary events to occur?

We hope that participants will be able to attend three of the following gatherings to creatively explore these issues [dates may change]:
April 25- May 4, Beltaine at Short Mountain Sanctuary
June 6-10, Naraya (Dance for All People) at Wolf Creek Sanctuary
August 15-24, Shamans Gathering at Zuni Mountain Sanctuary
August 26-28, Embracing Our Queer Spirit Gathering in New Mexico (location tba)
September 26- October 4, Fall Gathering at Short Mountain
October 24- November 3, Samhain at Wolf Creek Sanctuary
November 8, Quest of the Radical Crosspollinators Gala/ Performance Weekend and Symposium in the SF Bay Area.

We intend to hold intentioned discussions at each of the gatherings on many subjects. Facilitating crosspollinators will offer check-ins for all crosspollinators at the gatherings, will lead discussions and will help to weave the threads from one gathering to another. We seek to build a network of caring and sharing among fellow crosspollinators. For example, we’ll form carpools and do fundraising to help crosspollinators with financial restrictions make it to gatherings. There will be many ways to plug in to the QRC at the gatherings through the Hive, a tent that will be set up as a vehicle for our collective discussion and will be open to receive the input of crosspollinators and gatherers. Some work we will do as a group. At each sanctuary we will take on a manageable land project to benefit that community. At some gatherings (Queer Spirit and the Bay Area Symposium) we will largely be caring for ourselves, at others we will cook crosspollinator dinners for the community, and we hope to have some full-pull-dance-parties.

The Bay Area Performance/Symposium will be a public forum for all persons presenting the fruits of QRC in the form of projects, performances, and panels. Those who participate this year in our crosspollinating work are encouraged to put something together to present at the Symposium or otherwise involve themselves in this unveiling of our collective discussion. We also welcome those fabulous faeries who have done cross-pollinating work in the past to involve themselves in the Symposium as well as anyone with a genuine interest in faerie culture.
